Recently, we were deeply moved by the story of Arno van Greunen, which came to our attention through his school friends and their parents. On December 1st, Arno suffered severe burns in a petrol-related incident, leaving him with 40% of his body covered in burn wounds. His journey of recovery involves enduring frequent, painful surgeries three times a week. As parents, we are in awe of his courage and resilience in this incredibly challenging battle.
Arno is a vibrant and energetic young boy who loves outdoor adventures, farm work, rugby, and riding his off-road bike.
We were inspired by the social media messages of encouragement shared by well-known rugby players and celebrities, which motivated us to step in and offer our support.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Hero Burn Foundation, we were able to contribute a meaningful donation to aid Arno on his path to recovery.
